Meteorological Influences on Reference Evapotranspiration in Different Geographical Regions

چکیده

It is critical to understand how meteorological variables impact reference evapotranspiration (ETo) since have a different effect on ETo. This study examined the of ETo Korean Peninsula under complex climatic and geographic conditions in order changed over past 42 years. Different geographical were analyzed, including plains, mountains, coastal areas seasonal annual basis. was estimated using Penman-Monteith method by Food Agriculture Organization (FAO) daily relative humidity (RH), solar radiation (Rs), maximum temperature (Tmax), minimum (Tmin), wind speed (Ws). According results, mean occurred southern coast, while mountainous area along east coast. Seasonal highest summer, lowest winter for all regions. The investigation revealed that response varied area, magnitudes sensitivity location season. RH most variable affect seasons, except when Tmin sensitive parameter. results regions showed responses change changing variables. Meteorological affecting differ with geologic seasons. almost similar RH, Rs, Tmax (±10% ETo) during spring However, other regions, caused changes throughout, ranging from −15% +20% plain −20% +15% west +10% south In addition, there significant differences parameter between which confirmed results.

The Impact of Seawater Salinity on Evapotranspiration and Plant Growth Under Different Meteorological Conditions

Conventional water resources of good quality are scarce especially in arid and semiarid regions. The salinization of soils and water places is a substantial constraint of crop productivity. The mixed application of fresh water along with seawater is becoming a common practice by the farmers near sea sides in the developing countries. Seawaters contain beneficial nutrients that can be useful for...

Topographic and meteorological influences on spatial scaling of heavy convective rainfall in mountainous regions

Characterizing the spatial scaling and dynamics of convective precipitation in mountainous terrain and the development of downscaling methods to transfer precipitation fields from one scale to another is the overall motivation for this research. Substantial progress has been made on characterizing the space-time organization of midwestern convective systems and tropical rainfall, which has led ...

Assessing Experimental and Intelligent Models in Estimating Reference Evapotranspiration

Introduction: As the most important element in the hydrologic cycle which depends on climate variables such as near-ground wind speed, air temperature, solar radiation, and relative humidity,  reference evapotranspiration (ET0) is normally computed through a variety of methods, each of which requires different and in some cases extensive data that are unavailable in many circumstances, especial...

Different Cytotoxic Effects of Caper from Different Geographical Regions May Be Related to Changes in Mitochondrial Sirt3

Background and objectives: Beside its nutritional role, caper (Capparis spinosa) has long been used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer remedy. In the present study, we tested whether this plant can make effective changes in Sirt3 and mitochondrial function in colorectal carcinoma cell line since mitochondrial dysfunction has long been imp...
